Dairy Management Consulting (DMC) is a company specialising in the benchmarking and optimisation of dairy farming operations. On a monthly basis, data is collected from the herd management software, processed, and put in a monthly report. The primary function of the report is to identify areas within the herd (i.e. reproduction, calf rearing, production, culls, and mortalities) that need improvement. After identifying the specific area, along with the management team, plans and protocols are put in place addressing the area of concern and progress is closely monitored. The secondary function of the report is that it provides a benchmark, allowing you as a producer to compare yourself to the industry.
DMC specialises in the benchmarking and optimisation of dairy farming operations.
We currently consult for 120 dairy farmers country wide, making up about 25% of the daily milk produced in South Africa. With an average milking herd size of 700 cows, you can measure yourself against South Africa’s top dairy farmers.
Areas we cover: Western Cape, Southern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, Northwest, Mpumalanga, Limpopo.
Areas we are busy expanding: Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
